You may designate a gift to an established endowment fund or create a new named fund in a particular area of interest. The minimum gift to create a named fund is $20,000. Gifts to the CSO Endowed Fund, unless otherwise designated, are added to the unrestricted fund.
Unrestricted Endowed Fund
This fund provides assistance for annual operating expenses. Annually, the Board of Trustees determines a percentage of funds that is transferred to the general operating fund.
Endowed Chairs Program
Gifts to the Endowed Chairs Program are invested by the CSO with other unrestricted endowment contributions. A percentage of the fund supports Symphony operations. For more information on this specific program visit the Endowed Chairs Program page.
Named Endowed Funds
The Guest Soloist Fund
This fund is used to extend the range of programming offered to the audience of the CSO through the inclusion of a wide variety of solo performers, both vocal and instrumental.
Student Activities and Education Fund
Income from this fund is used for a variety of programs including educational presentations by the CSO, such as In School Ensembles and our annual free concerts for the school children of Cape as well as complimentary student tickets to CSO performances, educational presentations by the CSO and annual scholarship awards.
Royston Nash Fund
Established by the Friends of the CSO to honor Music Director and Conductor Royston Nash, the income from this fund can be used at the discretion of the Board of Trustees to enhance the programs of the CSO.
