An Invitation to Become a Friend
As a CSO volunteer, you not only have the opportunity to work and learn in a variety of behind-the-scenes environments by serving as an usher at concerts, but you also have the chance to meet other people who share your love of music and your desire to make a difference in the life of the Cape Symphony Orchestra. From service on the Board of Trustees , to the fellowship, education, and service opportunities afforded by members of the Friends of the CSO, volunteerism takes many shapes within the Cape Symphony Orchestra.

The Friends of the Cape Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit auxiliary group organized under the bylaws of the CSO. Its purpose is to support the orchestra by means of fund-raising activities and volunteer work.

Ongoing projects include: selling refreshments and specialty items in the lobby at each concert, coordinating fund-raising special events and assisting the CSO Development Committee with the Annual Fund drive. Activities vary in scope and require active participation by the Friends' membership.

Friends sponsored excursions to off-Cape venues such as Tanglewood (MA), Saratoga (NY) and the Boston Symphony Orchestra open rehearsals help to raise funds for the Cape Symphony Orchestra.

Benefits of membership in the Friends include the opportunity to participate in the above activities as well as a variety of unique social events throughout the year. A newsletter keeps members informed of upcoming activities and an Annual Meeting is held in June.

Dues are $20 annually for individuals and $40 per couple. The Friends Circle member ship is $35 for individuals and $50 per couple.
